Headfarmer is seeking a Financial Analyst to join one of our outstanding clients who is growing its FP&A function!!
The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting financial decision-making by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting on financial data. This position is responsible for conducting detailed financial and operational analysis to guide both short-term and long-term strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting efforts.

What you will do:
- Collaborate with all departments to develop Academy or Home Office forecasts, annual budgets, financial models, and long-range plans.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and ensure accuracy.
- Analyze financial data and generate monthly reports to evaluate budget versus actual performance, collaborating with department leadership (Headmasters or Home Office).
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Provide additional support and assistance to the Accounting team as needed.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial results to identify trends, variances, and opportunities.
- Ensure strict adherence to budget allocations and compliance with financial policies.
- Prepare quarterly Board reports summarizing financial performance and key metrics.
- Coordinate with IT and facilities teams on projects related to the Academies or Home Office.
- Oversee project completion, ensuring proper planning, task assignment, monitoring, and review of progress and accuracy.
- Develop, document, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Identify and address any internal control issues, ensuring corrective actions are taken as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you will have:
- Bachelor’s in Finance or related field – Advanced degree preferred
- 3-7 years of experience in finance with some knowledge of accounting.
- Alignment with organizational philosophy and mission
- 4+ years of experience in FP&A and business partner roles
- Strong alignment with the philosophy and mission of organization
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on detail, thoroughness, and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Workday or Adaptive Planning or similar financial systems.
- Proven ability to develop and utilize financial models for decision-making and analysis.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive and professional relationships with team members.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Workday or Adaptive Planning is a plus.
